NEW SYNERGY MARINE OK DINGHIES AVAILABLE NOW!

Synergy Marine 1Synergy Marine started building International OK dinghies from the original Dave Rose “Skipper” Mould in 2011. We have now produced a new hull and deck mould to this successful design. Our new mould will ensure the build quality and construction of our hulls is of an even higher standard. This design of OK has a moderately shaped bow, straight fore-aft sections to provide a very stable and fast ride downwind whilst still being quick upwind. This has certainly proven the case in the UK with a number of impressive event wins including the 2012 British National Championship where our Synergy Marine OK’s won 6 out of 8 races. The design has proven to be fast in a variety of conditions at both inland and coastal venues and with a range of helm weights.

Boats previously built from this mould in the early 2000’s have proven very fast in the hands of Greg Wilcox but due to the construction method they were very fragile and were never built in numbers. Our Synergy Marine hulls are built using high quality epoxy foam reinforced plastic (FRP) to produce a very light, stiff and strong hull. We also provide the option of either a FRP deck or a real wooden deck.

Synergy Marine can supply a full package including all fittings, foils, carbon mast (either Aardspar or our own mast which is currently being developed), covers, sails and trailers. We currently have build slots for new boats available and look forward to hearing from interested OK sailors.
