3 Belgians at the start of the Europeans at Faaborg, Denmark

Wind, rain, no wind, etc. …. will not deter our Belgian participants Paul (BEL 214), Jacques (BEL 230) and Joost (BEL 203) to sail full force during the OK Dinghy European Championship at Faaborg, Denmark from July 23 till July 29 2017. Faaborg is situated at the south of Fyn and is known for being the garden of Denmark.
The Pre-championship activities started with a very interesting sailing clinic which was attended by close to 40 sailors. Although the wind let us down, it made the learning experience even bigger.
On Tuesday a test race is planned, just to gear up. Sailing conditions are in terms of wind much more favourable (10-15 knots). The rain also has joined the party.
The following days predict variable wetter for the 10 races to sail with 2 separate starts as the field of 130 is split up. Saturday concludes with 2 races with a gold and silver group.
